Hong Kong Television Network has reported a loss of HK$40.3 million for the year ended August 31, according to The Standard. The report added that HKTV said HK$531.3 million has been invested in fixed assets, but that capital expenditure has slowed down. Hong Kong citizens to switch off TVs to protest FTA licensing
The Standard has reported that thousands of Hong Kong citizens are expected to join a campaign to switch off their televisions on October 30, 2013 against the government's decision on free-to-air licenses, adding that the campaign was initiated by a group of bloggers. TVB incurs fine for anti-competition practices
The complaint from ATV alleged that certain clauses in TVB's contracts and informal practices with its talents prevented, distorted and substantially restricted competition.
