Munich-based media group Telcast GmbH has promoted Angela Richardson to Head of Sales. She joined Telcast as Head of Acquisitions in 1998 and has managed several regions including Asia, Africa and The Middle East, which opened up new markets for the company. She played a key part in setting up the Dubai office serving the Middle East and the partnership with African Eye in South Africa. Hong Kong – Animax, the anime-focused youth entertainment channel, has launched Animax Mobile in Asia following its debuts in Canada and Australia earlier this year. NBC Universal wraps up Sparrowhawk Holdings
London – NBC Universal has finalized the acquisition of Sparrowhawk Holdings and its global portfolio of pay-TV channels including the international Hallmark Channels, from Providence Equity Partners, 3i and management shareholders. The deal closed following the conclusion of regulatory approvals; terms were not disclosed.
