Singapore - The Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) is conducting its first triennial review of the Media Market Conduct Code and is seeking public feedback. MDA aims to issue the revised Code in the fourth quarter of 2007.First implemented in April 2003 to address competition issues related to broadcasting and print, the Code is being revised to address changes in the media industry. Hong Kong – Synovate has released its first full-year Media Atlas survey results – covering over 6,000 respondents aged 15-64. Some 98.4% of respondents had watched TV within the past week. Kuala Lumpur - Sea Providence or Re Lang Dao (Mandarin for Redang Island) is in production, a joint venture between China Central Television, Chinese production company Jingzhilu, and Malaysia's VL Film Productions.The 24-episode Mandarin serial is centred on the December 26, 2004 tsunami, revolving around a group of tourists who find themselves caught in the disaster and how their lives change after that.
