Korea: MBC fined for sneak advertising
Seoul - The Korea Communications Commission fined TV network MBC W715 million for improper advertising and failure to submit adequate documentation, reports The Chosun Ilbo. Examining the drama, Heart of Destiny, which was aired from October 2007 to April 2008, the agency said that it will impose a total W679.5 million in fine (or W5 million per episode) on the drama for 138 violations of sponsorship notification rules stipulated by broadcasting law through indirect advertising.
