Singapore – After failing to strike a deal with ESPN STAR Sports, StarHub has opted to produce its own ‘Football Channel’ to air English Premier League soccer. ABS-CBN profit grew 77% in the first half of 2007
Manila- ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp., the Philippines’ largest broadcaster, posted a 77% year-on-year increase in net income to P739 million $US16.4 million) for the first half of 2007 on the back of improving advertising and subscription-based businesses. Singapore- Unveiled on the auspicious date of 20.07.2007, SingTel’s IPTV service mio TV has introduced competition to Singapore’s pay-TV market previously dominated by cable TV operator and telco StarHub.
