South Korea is the latest country to licence the record-breaking TV format, Dancing with the Stars, from BBC Worldwide. This is BBC Worldwide’s first format sale to South Korea. London – Endemol announced it has entered an exclusive development deal with UK production company Hotsauce TV. BBC Worldwide Australia has concluded a significant deal with Yahoo!7, licensing more than 20 titles to its Catch-Up TV service, PLUS7. The ongoing deal will see future BBC content air on the service, either in catch-up following transmission on the Seven Network, or as part of PLUS7’s dedicated library of TV shows. Initial makes a splash with two new series of Total Wipeout for BBC One
Endemol UK announced that its production arm Initial has been commissioned to produce 24 new episodes of Total Wipeout. Total Wipeout, based on Endemol’s global format, launched on BBC One in January 2009 and has become a favourite with Saturday night audiences.
