Hong Kong / Singapore – The Amazing Race Asia has returned for a second season (TARA 2), debuting on AXN on Nov 22. TARA 2 sees participants cover more than 50,000 km across four continents in 24 days, up from 36,000 km over two continents last season. Singapore – StarHub launched HD channel HD SHOWCASE on Nov. 24, airing selected live 2007/2008 English Premier League (EPL) matches in HD, and it will feature HD content from various genres in future. Village Roadshow shells out A$129 million for balance of Roadshow Distributors
Sydney—Village Roadshow Ltd. (VRL) has disclosed it paid Amalgamated Holdings A$129 million (US$112.6 million) for its 50% stake in Roadshow Distributors to take full control of the film, home entertainment, television and pay TV distributor.
