Singapore – StarHub launched HD channel HD SHOWCASE on Nov. 24, airing selected live 2007/2008 English Premier League (EPL) matches in HD, and it will feature HD content from various genres in future. Airing at least two live EPL matches per match-week, HD SHOWCASE will broadcast up to 92 games in the current season. Patrick Lim, StarHub Vice President of Cable TV Services, said, “Based on the very positive feedback we received regarding our trial HD broadcast of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, we are confident that HD SHOWCASE will be popular among soccer buffs who want an even more immersive experience of the Barclays Premier League.” HD SHOWCASE was added at no additional charge to StarHub Digital Cable’s HD Plus package priced at $S16.05 ($US11.10) monthly, which includes Discovery HD and National Geographic HD channels.
