From Nov 26, Bloomberg Television gets a new look across the Asia Pacific, including full-screen video integrated with more charts and graphics to provide more in-depth information on news stories. New graphical packages derived in real time from the Bloomberg Terminal service, a financial data and analytical tool used by professional investors, also feature in the revamped service. Change in format integrates the Bloomberg Terminal service with its television counterpart and is part of the network’s efforts to provide viewers with greater access to the former. New on-screen format has the channel logo as well as date-and-time information on the right side of the screen, along with a context box that provides a single item of data that changes over time. The screen continues to feature a news bar and a ticker bar. This replaces the old ‘J’ screen which had data boxes and charts truncating the video portion of the service.
