Kuala Lumpur-- Malaysia's dominant broadcaster, Media Prima Berhad (MPB), is investing more than RM250 million ($US71.2 million) on local and imported content across its four TV networks in 2008. Global DVD recorder sales up, DVD player sales down
Scottsdale, Arizona- Worldwide DVD player shipments started to decline in 2006 while shipments of DVD recorders continued to rise steadily. Sales of DVD player units declined from 126.4 million in 2005 to 124.8 million in 2006, and DVD recorder sales rose from 14 million in 2005 to 16 million in 2006, according to high-tech market research firm In-Stat. Malaysia’s GameBrains signs multiple title deals

KT’s Mega TV to roll out nationwide
Seoul- Korean telco and broadband operator KT announced Sept. 4 that its pre-IPTV service, Mega TV, will be available nationwide to its 6.5 million Megapass broadband subscribers. The company had been offering test services in Seoul and surrounding regions.
