Seven plots rival service as Netflix heads to Australia
Seven Network is considering approaches from telco Optus, digital TV platform Freeview, and movie subscription service Quickflix about joining forces for an online streaming service to rival U.S. streaming giant Netflix. YouTube to acquire Twitch for US$1 billion
Reuters – Google Inc's YouTube unit has reached a deal to acquire videogame-streaming service Twitch for more than US$1 billion, according to a report in Variety, the entertainment news publication.
