BBC Worldwide will welcome its highest number of Asian delegates to flagship event, BBC Showcase this month. More than 30 delegates from some of Asia's biggest broadcasters will fly into Brighton for BBC Worldwide's annual television market. Shanghai real estate tycoon Wang Jing is believed to be nearing a deal to buy a controlling stake in Hong Kong's cash-strapped broadcaster Asia Television Limited (ATV), reports the Oriental Morning Post. Hong Kong - TVB is facing investigation by the Broadcasting Authority over complaints that it restricts affiliated stars and singers from appearing on rival TV stations.
