New York – AETN International, a division of A&E Television Networks (AETN), will arrive at MIPCOM with a breathtaking slate of new programming, which includes the company’s first ever competition and 3D programming, and first documentary feature film. Featuring over 500 new hours of programming, the AETN International catalogue comprises original series and specials from the fastest growing pay TV group in the US, including A&E, HISTORY, Lifetime and BIO. AETN will also be presenting its first ever competition series TOP SHOT (10 x 1 hours), where teams and individuals shoot it out for a $100,000 prize package. The #1 non-fiction series on US pay TV year to date returns for a third season with 16 new episodes. PAWN STARS (69 x ½ hours & 1 x 1 hour Christmas special), takes viewers inside the doors of the only family-run pawnshop in Las Vegas. A new episode from the Emmy Award-winning series BIOGRAPHY, MEL GIBSON: THE RISE AND FALL OF A HOLLYWOOD ICON (1 x 2 hours), also debuts at MIPCOM. Also debuting at MIPCOM is the critically acclaimed theatrical documentary film, THE TILLMAN STORY (1 x 2 hours), which examines the aftermath of the death of former pro football player turned Army Ranger Pat Tillman, who was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan. AETN International is also bringing its first 3D program to MIPCOM – the season 5 premiere episode of THE UNIVERSE, titled 7 WONDERS OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM. The episode is also available in 2D.
