The slate spans premium investigative documentaries, high-volume crime titles, specialist factual, factual entertainment, scripted and lifestyle, with programming from leading producers across the U.S.A., Canada, Europe and Australia. The company continues to diversify its offering across unscripted, kids and scripted programming, with a growing slate of new productions set to premiere. The expansion further establishes the customer-focused international distributor as a trusted source of high-quality content across genres and audiences.
Anchoring the slate is a substantial investigative crime offering from leading international producers Arrow Media (UK), Northern Pictures (Australia), Candour Productions (UK) and Peacock Alley Entertainment (Canada), whose programming has been commissioned by major broadcasters and streaming platforms worldwide. Highlights include Prime Time Predator (2 x 60, Northern Pictures and Arrow Media), Who Killed Little Christine? (3 x 60, Peacock Alley Entertainment) and Geordie Coppers (10 x 60, Candour Productions). The offering also includes high-volume crime series from Law&Crime Productions, alongside premium documentaries examining major criminal investigations, institutional failures and stories of justice.
Serial Maven’s expanding slate also spans science, natural history, engineering, scripted, documentary and factual entertainment. Highlights include Unsolved Universe (7 x 30, Colbyvision), Empire of Bats (1 x 60, Primitive Entertainment), Donkey Kings (17 x 30, Monument TV), Mega Marine Machines Season 3 (12 x 60, Arcadia Entertainment) and World’s Busiest (4 x 60, Arrow Media and Group M), Angles Morts (10 x 30, A Media, in association with C3 Media) and The Great Ghost Challenge (6 x 60), a high-stakes franchise series.
The new offering builds on recently announced acquisitions also making their MIPCOM debut, including Baby Elephant School (4 x 60, Big Wave and Cantina Media), The County (10 x 60, RTR Media), Small Town Escapes with Colin & Justin (20 x 30, Ocean Entertainment) and The Dunblane Tapes which arrives at the market following a recent string of industry recognition, including a BAFTA Scotland nomination for directors Niamh Kennedy and Anna Hall, two Grierson Award nominations for Best Single Documentary and Best History Documentary, and a nomination for Best Documentary at the Edinburgh TV Awards.
