Sony Entertainment Television launched the Indian version of the X Factor last night in an attempt to capture the interests of Indian youths. The platform has been adapted from international show and is hosted by actor/singer Aditya Narayan. Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and playback singers Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal are the show’s judges. Audition episodes began airing on May 29 and will continue till June 4. The finalist galas will screen every Friday and Saturday at 9 pm. The X Factor was first created and produced by music mogul Simon Cowell in UK. The popularity of the show has led it to be aired in several countries.
