Singapore – The star of arts and crafts show, Mister Maker, will return to Asia this summer on a three-week tour of the region, bringing his special brand of craft-making to preschoolers in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Hong Kong. Mark Whitehead, Senior Vice President and General Manager of BBC Worldwide Channels Asia, said, “Bringing talents like Mister Maker to market enables us to connect directly with viewers and is part of the strategy to bring our channels to life”. Last year, at a single mall event in Jakarta, some 8,000 preschoolers showed up to meet Mister Maker. This year, some of the other cities he will visit include Jakarta, Surabaya and Manila. Mister Maker is a real life character who gets inspiration to make art from everything around him. The live action programme, available exclusively on BBC’s pre-school channel CBeebies, is set in the fantasy art room he has created.
