Singapore – MediaCorp Pte Ltd has announced the appointment of Dr Thomas Ng, Dr Pari Sara Shirazi, Mr Chan Heng Kee and Mr Ahmad Nizam to its Board of Directors with immediate effect. Dr Ng, 57, is the co-founder of GGV Capital and also a founding investor of Alibaba.com, SAVI Technologies, Oculex Pharmaceuticals, AAC (2018.HK) and Ku6.com, Dr Shirazi, 56, is the President and Founder of Tisch School of the Arts Asia (based in Singapore) and concurrently the Vice Dean of Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Mr Chan, 42, was appointed the Permanent Secretary for Ministry of the Community, Youth and Sports (MCYS) in April this year and Mr Nizam, 43, is an Associate Director at Straits Law Practice LLC and Associate Mediator of the Singapore Mediation Centre. Also starting this week is Shaun Seow, who takes over the role of Chief Executive Officer from Lucas Chow. Chow resigned in January 2011 after having held the position since 2005. He officially left on 31 July.
