Toronto – Kidscreen has announced that Thailand will participate in the 2013 Asian Animation Summit (AAS) for the first time, presenting three new animated projects from Thai producers in the three-day event’s showcase.
The Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA), a Thai government agency supporting the development and growth of the region’s animation industry, has confirmed that it will sponsor the event as a Supporting Partner and spearhead the AAS project selection process in Thailand.
Kidscreen has secured the five-star Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa in Karon Beach as the venue for the event, which will once again be held right after Asia Television Forum, from December 9-11, 2013.
An initiative of Australia’s ABC TV and Screen Australia, Korea’s KOCCA and Malaysia’s MDeC, the Asian Animation Summit is produced and owned by Kidscreen, and is designed to stimulate co-production and co-financing,
