Programme host, Cavin Soh (MediaCorp Artiste managed by Artiste Networks) said: “It was truly a great experience hosting AFC original production, Happy Foodie New Year. Chinese New Year is a magical time in Singapore and I always look forward to participating in its festivities and feasting on its traditional dishes. Filming this programme with AFC and its co-sponsors was an eye opening and rewarding experience for me. From meeting some of Singapore’s finest chef’s and learning how to make their personal Chinese New Year recipes, to exploring the history behind widely used Chinese New Year ingredients and how it is produced in Singapore, we took an in-depth look into this well loved holiday and what makes it such an important part of our lives. I look forward to sharing my experience with the AFC viewers and hope that they enjoyed watching the programme as much as I enjoyed filming it!”
