Global music gallery SphereTrax is today opening its doors to composers and musicians from all over the world to access and submit musical works to its platform. Watch the trailer here.
Music artists can now submit their work for review and submission, and successful entrants will be granted access to SphereTrax’ client base across film, television, advertising and gaming producers.
Artists can sign up here and upload music directly to the platform.
Spheretrax is designed to revolutionise the way music is placed, synched and licensed in the entertainment industry, whilst securing the best deals for artists and creating more flexibility and freedom for them. In an effort to democratise access in the industry, the platform also acts as a community and social media hub in which artists can speak directly to buyers and generate their own bespoke networks.
SphereTrax will be the first music licencing platform to offer music mixed in Dolby Atmos, meaning composers, bands, artists and music producers that apply will have the chance for their work to be made available in the production industry’s most desired and up-to-date format.
All tracks accepted onto the platform receive free professional mastering. SphereTrax also offers the best rates in the industry, with every artist earning the majority of the revenue generated as standard, unlike other platforms. Artists can also choose whether their music is exclusive or non-exclusive to Spheretrax, depending on which suits them best.
For the first time, content creators including producers, filmmakers and developers will be able to purchase tracks as NFTs, securing outright ownership and increasing their value. Contractual information will be stored transparently and securely on the blockchain with a traceable link to the licensor, the contributors and the audio track.
Founder and CEO of SphereTrax Sefi Carmel says, “As musicians ourselves, we wanted to do something revolutionary and prioritise the artist. Our Creator-Majority ownership model means that you keep control of more of your rights and returns, both at the point of license and as the residuals come through. This is the music revolution – a world in which artists can and will be paid fairly for their work, and have equal opportunities. No matter where in the world you are based, if you write songs, anthems, jingles, ballads, or any other genre of music, we’re welcoming you into our community and inviting you to find clients, opportunities and buyers in every continent. It’s time to monetise your music.”
