Singapore– Asia Pacific Video-on-demand channel Anytime and Widevine Technologies have entered into a partnership to ensure the delivery of premium VOD content to major Asian IPTV operators. Widevine is a leading provider of downloadable content protection, forensic watermarking and digital copy protection solutions for more than 120 video service providers worldwide. Anytime, which has output deals with Fox, Sony, Warner, NBC Universal and Buena Vista (Disney) International Television, has carriage deals in Australia, India, China, Taiwan and Thailand, and the rights to license into 15 territories in the region. “Widevine’s industry leading content protection platform is highly regarded by Hollywood movie studios. The challenge is not only providing a broadband operator with a great IPTV solution, but also ensuring that a robust content protection system is tightly integrated with that solution. This partnership enables Widevine to work with ANYTIME to enable operators to maintain premium broadcast and VOD content licensing,” said Craig Ginsberg, Chief Technology Officer, Anytime.
