Hong Kong – CASBAA announced the winner of the prestigious Annual CASBAA Chairman’s Award for an ‘outstanding contribution to the Asia Pacific multi-channel pay-TV industry over the past 12 months’. The 2009 Award went to the ASTRO DTH platform in Malaysia for ‘Consistently growing revenue in a challenging market’. Rohana Rozhan, CEO of ASTRO said, “We are delighted with CASBAA’s recognition of ASTRO’s excellent performance in the Asia Pacific’s pay-TV market.” “In view of the challenging economic environment, ASTRO has been conscientious in providing value to its customers by reinvesting in our broadcast and customer service infrastructure, as well as increasing our content spend in local content and the localisation of foreign content.”
