Hong Kong – Celestial Pictures announced the appointment of two veteran film executives, Peter Poon as senior vice president, Theatrical Distribution, and Rosa Li as creative executive. Poon brings to Celestial Pictures twenty years of management experience in the media business including feature film, television, home entertainment, and digital project development & distribution. Prior to joining Celestial, he was GM of Fortune Star Entertainment Ltd Hong Kong where he was responsible for licensing library feature titles, managing film projects and developing content for new media. In his senior management role at Celestial Pictures, Poon will oversee distribution of invested & produced new filmed content in all international territories as well as participate in the development of remakes of the world renowned Shaw Brothers films and original IP theatrical projects. Li has extensive experience as a producer and executive producer. Her notable credits include award winning films, Rice Rhapsody and The Drummer and critically acclaimed documentaries for the Discovery Channel. She also held key corporate positions as Taiwan Representative for AXN, and senior vice president at Shaw Media. In a consulting role, Li will lead the Creative Feature development team at Celestial Pictures and identify and manage the production and/or investment in new theatrical projects including remakes of the Shaw Brothers film library and original productions.
