Armoza Formats’ game show Upgrade, which gives players the chance to upgrade items in their homes, will be broadcast on two European channels this spring. The first episodes premiered on February 15. Romanian broadcaster Prima TV, a member of the Prosieben group and one of the nation’s leading commercial broadcasters, will launch a full prime-time season of 20 weekly episodes of the game show. Upgrade will be produced internally by the broadcaster. In Turkey, broadcaster Show TV will premiere a season of 13 episodes of the game show, produced by 18 Productions. Broadcast commissions are also under negotiation in several other European countries. The game show format is in development in more than a dozen territories around the world, including the US, Canada, Norway, and India, with the latest deal recently inked in Greece with production house Studio Alfa.
