Cleo & Cuquin Finds A New Home In The U.S. With Mercury Kids

June 3, 2026 by TVA Editor

Spanish animation company Ánima Kitchent has announced a new streaming partnership with Mercury Kids, the recently launched SVOD platform dedicated to premium children’s and family entertainment.
Under the agreement the global preschool IP Cleo & Cuquín will join the Mercury Kids platform in the U.S., giving American families access to the beloved property within a safe, curated and ad-free streaming environment designed specifically for children.  The series will begin with a soft launch in the U.S. on iOS and Android mobile devices, including phones and tablets.
Mercury Kids offers a premium destination for trusted kids’ entertainment, bringing together high-quality shows that combine joy, imagination, and positive values. The addition of Cleo & Cuquín further strengthens Mercury Kids’ growing library of preschool and family-friendly content.
Mercury Kids: “Cleo & Cuquín has already captured the hearts of children around the world, across digital platforms, broadcasters, and streaming services, and we are thrilled to welcome them to Mercury Kids,”.  “Mercury Kids was created as a home for joyful, trusted, and meaningful kids’ entertainment. Cleo & Cuquín is a perfect fit because it celebrates family, curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and the kind of positive everyday adventures that children and parents can enjoy together.”
“Mercury Kids gives Cleo & Cuquín a dedicated new space to grow with U.S. families,” said Miguel Aldasoro, International Sales and Co-production Director at Ánima Kitchent. “After connecting with audiences across YouTube, streaming services, broadcasters, and global kids’ platforms, we are excited to bring the brand to a platform that shares our commitment to safe, positive, family-centered entertainment.”
Originally inspired by the highly successful 1960s Spanish children’s property The Telerin Family, Cleo & Cuquín launched in 2018 with a 78 x 7-minute series and quickly became the number one preschool show at its TV premiere in Mexico, Spain and several Latin American territories.
Today, the franchise has amassed an extraordinary 75 million subscribers, 42 billion views, and more than 2.7 billion hours of watch time across its global YouTube channels. In 2025 alone, the property generated 10 billion views, representing continued significant year-on-year growth following 9 billion views in 2024, 6 billion views in 2023 and 3.5 billion views in 2022.
Since its launch Ánima Kitchent has significantly expanded the franchise across digital, broadcast and VOD platforms, transforming Cleo & Cuquín into the company’s flagship IP and one of the most successful preschool brands on YouTube.
Known for its playful storytelling, colorful animation, and lovable characters, Cleo & Cuquín has become a favorite among young audiences across international markets. Available in more than ten languages, the brand reached families through major global platforms and broadcasters, including YouTube, Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Televisa Univisión, Clan RTVE in Spain, and other leading kids’ entertainment destinations around the world.
The series follows Cleo, Cuquín, and their siblings as they transform everyday moments into imaginative adventures filled with humor, music, creativity, and discovery.  At its core, the series celebrates family life, teamwork, curiosity, kindness, and problem-solving — values that continue to resonate with preschool audiences around the world.
