In its launch week, Tehran crossed 200 Mn streaming minutes, ranking as ZEE5’s most viewed content of 2025 by watch time. The film trended across India, consistently appearing in the Top 3 spots in 17 states, reflecting the overwhelming nationwide appeal.
The global audience response was equally remarkable. ‘Tehran’ broke into the Top 5 ZEE5 titles of 2025 across 190+ countries, trending strongly in the US, MENA, UK, and APAC regions, reflecting its strong diaspora resonance.

As part of the promotional campaign for the geo-political thriller, ZEE5 hosted the first ever exclusive screening of Tehran with the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS) in Delhi, followed by an engaging Q&A with John Abraham who spoke with students about the film’s narrative, his perspective on foreign affairs, and the challenges of depicting such themes on screen.
