Paris-based cross-border media company Bolytics has successfully brought Voltaire in Love, a premium historical drama from ZDF Studios, to the Chinese market.

The series is now streaming on Sohu Video, one of China’s leading online video platforms, and is being broadcast across five regional TV channels: Sichuan TV, Guizhou TV, Shandong TV, Henan TV, and Jilin TV. Sichuan and Guizhou aired the program last week, with the remaining three scheduled to follow in the coming weeks.

This marks a significant milestone, as Voltaire in Love is the first ZDF Studios title to be successfully distributed to China since 2024. The launch reflects a growing interest in premium European scripted content among Chinese audiences, and further strengthens Bolytics’ role in connecting European creators with major Asian platforms.
