As the November 17 release of Shohei Ohtani – Beyond the Dream draws ever closer, fans today were given another exciting look at what to expect from the eagerly anticipated documentary, with the release of the show’s first trailer.

Now available online, the newly released trailer gives fans a preview of Shohei’s unmissable interviews as well as a first look at some of the other players set to feature in the documentary, including Hideki Matsui, Yu Darvish, Hideki Kuriyama. Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Pedro Martínez, and former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia are also confirmed to appear.

Featuring an unprecedented in-depth series of interviews with Ohtani and the coaches, players, managers, and mentors that have influenced him, Shohei Ohtani – Beyond the Dream takes an introspective look at Ohtani’s illustrious career, from his humble beginnings in rural Japan, through his journey to becoming a two-way player, the start of his professional career with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, and his long-awaited transition to the MLB with the Los Angeles Angels.

Throughout the documentary, Ohtani reflects on his career to date, sharing his thoughts on how he makes his dreams come true; how he came up with his now famous dream board; what it was like winning the 2023 WBC with Japan; how he overcame past injuries, and so much more.
