Taiwanese TV drama queen and award-winning producer Ruby Lin, known for her many roles in timeless classics such as My Fair Princess, returns with a new Taiwanese drama production Living, which is set to air on iQIYI on September 17.
The original series stars a team of renowned Taiwanese veteran actors including Kang Ren Wu, Sandrine Pinna, Joe Cheng, JC Lin, Yang Kuei Mei, King Jieh-wen, Sun Ke-fang, Beatrice Fang, and young actor Hsieh Zhanrong.
Living began filming in September last year, and one year on, the crew and cast coordinated their social media postings to announce the show premiere at 9:17 am today. The main visual poster as well as two trailers, the “Going Home Edition” and “Love Edition” were also released, giving fans something exciting to look forward to. Living revolves around the Gao family and Gao Jiayue, played by Kang Ren Wu, a man who has faced challenges in both his relationship and career. Returning from a foreign land, he has made up his mind to bid farewell to the world, but wants to visit his family one last time before that. When he returns home, he unexpectedly finds that his own family is in shambles, and everyone is living a life very different from what he expected.
While Living explores the somewhat depressing life of Gao Jiayue, the series promises to also be a comedic one, with moments that will make the audience laugh, but also shed tears for the characters whose stories they follow.
Living will be available on iQIYI worldwide (except Hong Kong and Macau) from September 17 2023.
