Hud Woodle, Executive Vice President, International Sales, and Operations of GRB Studios announced a plethora of licensing deals were closed ahead of MIPCOM with broadcasters from Europe, MENA, Africa, and APAC. Genres include movies, investigative true-crime and paranormal series; celebrity lifestyle and travel programs, and two long-running factual series, Untold Stories of the E.R. and On the Case.

Deals from Europe, MENA, Africa to Asia include :

– Canal+ (Pan Africa) acquired three romantic movies: Downsized  A married couple is in danger of losing the family and success they have built.  For the Love of Ruth: about a recently widowed woman whose life has been anything but easy. The Summoning  A happily re-married widow reconnects with her husband who died five years earlier in a car crash. Scripted: drama

– Nippon TV (Japan) took When Fish Attack II : an in-depth, analytical look at unexpected attacks by unfamiliar assassins – fish. The victims tell their stories while experts weigh in. Factual: wildlife

– Discovery UK (UK and Ireland) acquired Death Walker featuring Nick Groff, Season 3 — an investigation of the origins of some of the most notorious hauntings in America. Factual: investigative paranormal

– AMC Iberia (Spain, Portugal) acquired Auction Kings, Season 3 – this series offers a behind-the-scenes look at the craziness of running an auction house, the eclectic consignors who bring their treasures to sell and the competitive bidders. Factual: lifestyle

– OSN (MENA)  takes two factual series. Down to Earth with Zac Efron – A binge-worthy travelogue, food odyssey and eco-warrior series that takes Zac Efron into the far corners of the world;  Lens of Culture  Avid travelers and cultural enthusiasts Tai Beauchamp, influencer, and Elton Anderson, celebrity photographer, travel the world, embrace global cultures, and explore intersections between food, design, travel, photography, and fashion. Both are celebrity lifestyle programs

– SIC (Portugal) takes five titles. Down to Earth with Zac Efron: binge-worthy travelogue, food odyssey and eco-warrior series that takes Zac Efron into the far corners of the world; Pregnant & Dating: docu series following five successful women who are single, pregnant, and still looking for love. Documentary Remembering Whitney: on the legacy of the six-time Grammy winner, featuring never-before-seen footage of Whitney Houston and her life. Bobbi Kristina: a movie about Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter’s challenging life;  Cinderella Bride: six-part docu series following a wedding planner as she tries to give couples the wedding of their dreams.

– My Channel (Africa, Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique) acquires GRB’s successful series reenacting intense real-life stories of the emergency room, Untold Stories, Seasons 2-8

– AETN UK  (UK/Ireland) takes On the Case Seasons 11A & 11B long-running true crime investigation series
