WildBrain, a global leader in kids’ and family entertainment, has secured a wave of international sales across seasons one and two of The Brilliant World of Tom Gates and the brand’s Christmas special. A Sky Original kids’ TV series produced by TG Entertainment Limited, The Brilliant World of Tom Gates is based on the multi-million-copy bestselling Tom Gates book series written and illustrated by Liz Pichon.

WildBrain has signed new sales across multiple territories, including Da Vinci (US) for seasons one and two; Vudu (U.S.), RTP (Portugal), and Wiz (Hop! Media Group) (Israel) for season one; and PCCW – Now TV (Hong Kong), and Knowledge Kids and TVOkids (Canada) for season two. Knowledge Kids and TVOkids have also signed on for the Christmas special. These agreements add to the previously announced broadcast and streaming partners for season one, including ABC (Australia), Knowledge Kids and TVOkids (Canada), JOJKO and Tuki Channel (Slovakia), E-Vision and ejunior (MENA and Pakistan), MBC Group’s streaming platform Shahid (MENA) and PCCW – Now TV (Hong Kong).

WildBrain holds global distribution rights to The Brilliant World of Tom Gates season one and two (40 x 11’) and has also recently added the upcoming Halloween special The Brilliant World of Tom Gates: A Monster Halloween (1 x 22’) – featuring gamer and YouTube sensation DanTDM – and the previously announced Christmas special, The Brilliant World of Tom Gates: Epic Christmas Party (1×14’), to its slate.

A Sky Original kids’ series featuring a modular mixed-media magazine format, The Brilliant World of Tom Gates is based on the award-winning, multi-million-copy-bestselling Tom Gates books written and illustrated by Liz Pichon and published by Scholastic and translated into 46 languages worldwide. The heavily illustrated novels, in handwritten font with Tom’s doodles and pictures embellishing the text, document in hilarious detail his everyday trials and tribulations at home and school which all kids can relate to. The series follows Tom as he has fun with his family and friends, solves life’s problems, and comes up with an epic array of excuses to avoid doing his homework!

The Brilliant World of Tom Gates is produced by TG Entertainment Ltd – a company jointly owned by Black Camel Pictures and Wild Child Animation – with additional investment from The National Lottery and Scottish Government through Screen Scotland, and WildBrain.
