Etching a market-leading deal today, StarHub took its place as the first entertainment service provider in Southeast Asia to offer its customers access to Curiosity’s streaming service, Curiosity Stream. Featuring thousands of original and curated documentaries appealing to nature lovers, history buffs, and tech enthusiasts alike, Curiosity Stream will be made available to all customers with an Entertainment+ Pass at no extra cost (Usual price: US$9.99 or S$13.58 per month), in glorious 4K UHD. Coming shortly after StarHub unveiled its DARE+ strategy, the Curiosity Stream app is the tenth Over-the-top (OTT) partnership on StarHub TV+ and marks the company’s next step in bringing the best entertainment options to customers seamlessly.

No matter which broadband or mobile service operator they are with, Entertainment+ subscribers on StarHub can simply log in to the TV+ app and access their favourite programmes across any screen – from laptops to tablets and mobile phones. On the app, they will have instant access to a treasure trove of the freshest documentaries available on Curiosity Stream, including the rousing miniseries on marine life The Humboldt Current; gripping tell-all Royals: Keeping the Crown; and thought-provoking Evolve, produced by Beach House Pictures with support from Infocomm Media Development Authority’s (IMDA) enhanced Capability Partnership Programme. For more content highlights, please refer to the table at the end of this media release.

“Our stable of streaming apps have been performing spectacularly on StarHub, delighting our customers anytime, anywhere, and on any device. Guided by DARE+, we are doubling down on digital, removing barriers between screens, and meshing products and services into one-stop offerings for our customers,” said Andrew Tan, Head of Content, StarHub [in Chinese: “星和内容业务总监陈允忠”]. “We are thrilled for the opportunity to take our partnership with Curiosity to the next level, by onboarding the Curiosity Stream app onto StarHub TV+. This continues the successful integration of other top-tier OTT platforms such as Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, and Netflix. With access to National Geographic via Disney+, and now Curiosity, StarHub is the best place for documentary fans, bringing a smorgasbord of award-winning and awe-inspiring documentaries and films straight to their fingertips.”

“We are thrilled to partner with StarHub to offer customers our extensive library of factual content to watch whenever and wherever they want. Curiosity Stream is for people who want to know more and our content satisfies that appetite for knowledge that we all seek,” said Bakori Davis, Managing Director and Head of International, Curiosity, Inc.

Existing customers on Entertainment+, English Entertainment Pass and Education Basic Tier will enjoy unfettered access to Curiosity’s full suite of documentaries, on both the Curiosity Stream app as well as their newly rebranded linear channel, Curiosity Channel. For Entertainment+ subscribers, the Curiosity Stream app will also be made available automatically on their TV+ boxes from today. New customers who sign up for Entertainment+ at $30 per month, with a 24-month contract, will similarly enjoy access.
