Are you a fan of exhilarating spy dramas? Alex Rider might just be the perfect series for you.
Based on the phenomenally successful novels by author Anthony Horowitz, teenage spy hero Alex Rider (Otto Farrant) returns to screen in an eight-episode season. Following the death of his uncle and guardian, Ian Rider (Andrew Buchan), Alex reluctantly becomes an agent for the British government after finding out the truth about his uncle’s identity, who worked as an agent for the British Secret Service.
Witness the eponymous character being dragged unwittingly into the dangerous and morally compromised world of international espionage as he fights to uncover the truth behind his uncle’s death. Using skills that his uncle has equipped him since young, the courageous teenager will showcase his exceptional capabilities as a secret agent at a remote boarding school, Point Blanc Academy.
Other than Otto Farrant, other stellar casts of the TV series include Stephen Dillane as Alan Blunt, chief executive of the Special Operations division of MI6, Brenock O’Connor as Alex Rider’s best friend, Tom Harris, and Vicky McClure as Mrs. Jones, deputy head of Special Operations division of MI6 and Alex Rider’s handler.
