With less than one year to go to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the Olympic Channel’s new original series All Around follows the personal journeys of three elite gymnasts i over the course of a year on their road to Tokyo.

Featuring the United States’ Morgan Hurd, Russian Federation’s Angelina Melnikova and China’s Chen Yile, the behind-the-scenes documentary series premieres on August on the IOC’s Olympic Channel which is available worldwide at its website, its mobile apps and on connected TV devices.

Interweaving the stories and parallel journeys of Hurd, Melnikova and Chen, All Around provides viewers with unprecedented accessto these elite athletes and everyday teenagers as they balance their personal lives, training regimens and competitions throughout the year and culminating at Tokyo 2020.

In the premiere episode of All Around, we are introduced to the three gymnasts as they begin preparations for the demanding year ahead.

Viewers can catch up with 2017 Artistic Gymnastics All-Around World Champion Morgan, 18, at the 2019 Tokyo World Cup in Japan where she earned the women’s all-around title. Fans are then invited to tag along with her at home in Middletown, Delaware, USA and to First State Gymnastics to get a glimpse of her daily training routine. As Morgan looks ahead to the 2019 Pan American Games with qualification for Tokyo 2020 on the line, she has time for just a couple of days off.

Meanwhile, Angelina, 19, a team silver medallist at Rio 2016 and a two-time Russian national all-around champion, invites us to join her in Moscow, Russia where she is preparing for 2019 European Games in Minsk. In Minsk, Angelina is confident that she is ready to compete and is excited to perform in front the packed arena. After pushing her nerves aside, Angelina is crowned the 2019 European Games Women’s All-Around Champion.

At the same time, Chen Yile, 17, has the opportunity for a brief visit with her family in Zhaoqing, China, after living in Beijing for two years. The 2018 Asian Games Women’s All-Around Champion is recovering from an ankle injury and often finds herself frustrated on the side lines during training. After spending some quality time with her parents, brother and little sister, she is more motivated than ever to make the team for Tokyo.

Character-driven and full of personality, All Around is a ground-breaking, cutting-edge series which follows three of the world’s topgymnasts from three different countries in pursuit of the same dream – Olympic gold.  All Around is produced exclusively for the Olympic Channel by Noah Media Group.
