Magna Systems & Engineering will demonstrate a wide range of IP, 4K, remote production, 5G and telco network testing solutions at BroadcastAsia 2019 on stand 4M2-01 and at CommunicAsia 2019 on stand BN3-05.
Magna’s BroadcastAsia stand includes demonstrations and solutions from BFE, ChyronHego, FileCatalyst, GB Labs, Nevion, TAG VS, Telestream and TVU Networks.
BFE will introduce the KSC Appliance, a powerful Windows Server-based platform developed for the operation of KSC software solutions. BFE will also be giving updates on the latest in the Broadcast Control Solution KSC CORE and the SDN controller KSC SILKNET.
ChyronHego will highlight its PRIME Graphics Platform and Virtual Placement solutions. Faster, easier, and more intuitive, the PRIME Graphics Platform is the next generation of the pioneering ChyronHego real-time graphics Lyric solutions. Stacking an array of diverse applications into a single design, authoring and playout solution, the PRIME Graphics Platform delivers complete solutions for any use case, any resolution, any workflow. Designed with versatility in mind, the PRIME Graphics Platform can easily be configured for news, elections, sports, branding, touchscreen and video wall production needs.
FileCatalyst is an Emmy award-winning pioneer in managed file transfers and a world leading accelerated file transfer solution. At BroadcastAsia the company will be demonstrating FileCatalyst Direct, its suite of server and client applications that use FileCatalyst’s patented UDP-based protocol to transfer files at speeds of up to 10 Gbps. Global organisations use FileCatalyst to solve issues related to file transfer including content distribution, file sharing, and offsite backups.
Intelligent storage solution leader GB Labs will feature the all-new Mosaic automatic asset organiser and the brand-new CORE.4 OS software. Mosaic is an all-new, highly intuitive, automatic asset organisation system that combines GB Labs’ already-intelligent storage with additional AI that together provide a vastly enriched way to search for and retrieve media. By automatically scanning and intelligently tagging all metadata, Mosaic makes it easier – and much faster – for users to find exactly what they are looking for.
Nevion is highlighting its capabilities as “architects of virtualised media production”. They will be sharing details of how the company has helped broadcasters and service providers across the world with solutions for IP in the facilities, contribution, remote production and DTT, built on its flagship products, VideoIPath (orchestration and SDN control) and Virtuoso (software defined media node).
TAG Vs will be demonstrating its MCM-9000 software-based, ‘all IP’ monitoring and multiviewing platform. The MCM-9000 features SMPTE ST- 2022-6/7 and ST-2110-10/20/21/30/31/40 support, has 2110-20 UHD inputs and 2110-21 UHD with a two frame latency output. It also boasts MPEG TS compressed delivery formats, and JPEG2000 TR-01 support. There’s also OTT- HLS and MPEG-DASH multiple profiles monitoring and transport layer and baseband monitoring. Alongside these features are full ETR 290 and ATSC user configurable real time analysis, UHD or HD MPEG TS/2022-6/2110 Mosaic output with rich data and overlay alarms, simultaneous HLS Mosaic output for mobile devices, SNMP, Syslog, email alerts and comprehensive JSON API – all fully managed by TAG-NMS.
Telestream will be demonstrating its UltraHD and 4K-ready Vantage Media Processing Platform. With the world’s broadest format support from proxy resolutions through SD, HD, UHD and 4K, Vantage offers video processing for virtually every task. It’s blazingly fast too. Vantage processing and transcoding can be accelerated using Lightspeed Server for up to 9x speed improvements. It also has award-winning, full 16-bit 4:4:4:4 processing and intelligent workflows which allows Vantage to respond to media properties and metadata automatically. Vantage is also truly scalable and has powerful system management.
TVU Networks will have and demonstrate its TVU ONE 4K Mobile Transmitter, the first cellular mobile unit with the ability to transmit Ultra-HD/4Kp60 HEVC content. TVU ONE offers full 4K/60P transmission in addition to HD 1080/60P support, High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) support, HEVC Encoding and patented TVU IS+ technology providing superb transmission quality. It also aggregates up to 12 data connections – cellular, satellite, microwave, BGAN, Ethernet and WiFi, is compact and lightweight at only 1kg, has low power consumption for up to 4 hours with its internal battery and is 5G ready.
