SINGAPORE – Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks, Asia announced a multi-year licensing agreement with FremantleMedia International to acquire two of the world’s most iconic entertainment reality series: America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent. The acquisition of the two Got Talent giants for AXN complement the channel’s hugely popular pan-regional series, Asia’s Got Talent, making it a perfect trifecta for fans of reality competitions across the region. New seasons of Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent will premiere on AXN on April 15 and mid-May 2018 respectively.
The announcement further complements SPT Networks’ recent acquisition of American Idol from FremantleMedia International, which returned to Asian screens last month on AXN’s sister network, Sony Channel. Featuring superstar judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, the season takes viewers on a mesmerizing musical journey to discover America’s next singing sensation. Emmy award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest has returned as the host of the renowned series.
