Toronto, ON – Blue Ant Media, an international producer, distributor and channel operator, announced key leadership appointments to its recently launched Kids & Global Networks division.

Beatrice Lee has been appointed to a newly created role, CEO, BAM Asia. BAM Asia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Ant Media that operates under the company’s Kids & Global Networks banner. Reporting to Ward Platt, CEO, Kids & Global Networks and working from the company’s Singapore office, Lee is tasked with managing and growing international channels Love Nature 4K, ZooMoo, Blue Ant Entertainment and Blue Ant Extreme (formerly RTL CBS Entertainment and RTL CBS Extreme) in the Asia-Pacific region and joins the media company’s Corporate Management Team. Lee’s previous experience includes working for Aser Group as CEO of its start-up virtual reality company BSI VR. Lee was also Managing Director for MP & Silva, a sports media rights agency in the Asia-Pacific market, overseeing all commercial activities and operations across the region. Other leadership roles include Commercial Director of Infront Sports and Media’s Beijing office and Senior Manager, Business Development for Total Sports Asia Agency.
Blue Ant Media has appointed Carlyn Staudt as the company’s EVP, Love Nature Programming and Development. Reporting to Ward Platt, Staudt will be responsible for leading the global programming strategy of Love Nature’s linear and streaming video platforms internationally, with the exception of North America. Staudt’s role will also include commissioning original content to grow the brand’s extensive library of 4K natural history programming.
Operating out of Washington, D.C., she will build and lead a team in the areas of development and production to support Love Nature’s expansion. Staudt arrives at Blue Ant Media from National Geographic Partners where she served as Senior Vice President, Global Content Partnerships and Strategic Development. In this role, she was responsible for managing the company’s relationship with Fox Home Entertainment and 20th Century Fox Film & Television Distribution. In addition, she managed Cinema Ventures, National Geographic’s large-format film business and digital content syndication opportunities. Staudt also held numerous leadership roles within the company, notably Senior Vice President, Global Programming and Managing Director, National Geographic Channels, International Operations.
