French TF1 Studio partners Studio 100 Films

October 27, 2017 by TVA Editor

Munich – Studio 100 Film announced that French TF1 Studio, TF1 GROUP’s movie label, has acquired three upcoming feature films of its portfolio: “Maya the Bee – The Honey Games”, which will be completed beginning of this December and is planned to hit cinemas in 2018, as well as the third feature film “Maya the Bee – 3” (WT) which is slated for 2020 and “Princess Emmy” which will be ready in May 2018. Studio 100 Film presents these movies at this year’s AFM at Loews Office #653. Additionally visitors of AFM are invited to the market screening of “Maya the Bee – The Honey Games” on November, 2nd at 9.30 a.m. at the Broadway Cineplex – 4.

“Maya the Bee – The Honey Games” is produced by Studio 100 Media in coproduction with Australian company Studio B Animation and in association with Flying Bark Productions. Munich-based Studio 100 Film is the international sales agency for the worldwide rights. So far the movie was sold to 127 countries.

The upcoming family motion picture “Maya the Bee – The Honey Games” will explore another heart-warming story of Maya and her best, buggy meadow friends. When an overenthusiastic Maya accidentally embarrasses the Empress of Buzztropolis, she is forced to unite with a team of misfit bugs and compete in the Honey Games for a chance to save her hive. She will venture beyond the hive and meet new friends and opponents who will offer a great challenge for Maya. Fortunately, her best friend Willy, the loveable but clumsy ants Arnie and Barney and her trustworthy advisor, Flip the grasshopper, will be by her side. Maya’s curiosity and charisma will engage and delight audiences as she has done so for many years.

“Maya the Bee 1 – First Flight” initially hit the theaters in 2014 and still conquers cinemas around the world. It is based on a German children’s novel, which was published in 1912. The book has been translated into many languages and enjoyed by children all over the world.
