Armoza Format’s Still Standing licensed in Greece

August 11, 2017 by TVA Editor

Armoza Format’s hit prime time game show Still Standing has been commissioned for a first season of 200 episodes by leading Greek broadcaster Antenna TV, a member of the international media and entertainment network Antenna Group.

The studio-based format will make its debut in Greece in September and will air daily during access prime time. Most recently, Still Standing was also commissioned in India, while Italy extended their third season to almost 200 episodes, having ordered an extra 70 episodes.

Created by Israel’s Channel 10 and July-August Productions, Still Standing (60’) is the ground-breaking game show that offers contestants the chance to win $1 million by out-guessing 10 opponents in 10 fast-paced and dramatic trivia battles. As the clock winds down, contestants fight to be the last one still standing, because if they’re left scrambling for the answer, they’ll literally be dropped from the game – straight through the studio floor! With more than 4,500 episodes aired globally in over 20 countries, Still Standing is the award-winning format that has increased channels’ average shares in both weekly and daily programming.

Giannis Latsios, COO Content of ANT1 TV, “Antenna Group is proud to have brought one of the most successful game show formats to Greece. ‘Still Standing’ is a pioneer in the landscape of game shows, and one of our flagships for the new season’s programming, which we are developing day by day. We aspire to make an exemplary Greek version of the game show, attract our viewer’s interest and increase our lead against our rivals, helping to establish our position as the leader in our sector.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “‘Still Standing’, as evidenced by its continued success worldwide, is an incredibly strong game show that, through its simple and engaging premise, is relevant and exciting for audiences globally. We are looking forward to seeing its newest adaptation as one of ANT1 TV’s flagship shows in Greece and are thrilled to be continuing our relationship with them on this hit format.”
