India’s MTV has now licensed a first season of Armoza Formats’ hit prime time game show Still Standing. The season will comprise 60 episodes and will run twice a week from next month on Mazhavil Manorama, a leading regional entertainment channel from MTV. The deal was made in collaboration with Endemol Shine India, who will locally produce the program.
Additionally, Canale 5 Italy is now airing the show after recently re-commissioning a further 70 episodes, while in Hungary Still Standing was recently recognized as Best Game Show for the third time at the Hungarian Television Journalists Awards and is now airing its eighth season on Duna.
Created by Israel’s Channel 10 and July-August Productions, Still Standing (60’) is the ground-breaking game show that offers contestants the chance to win $1 million by out-guessing 10 opponents in 10 fast-paced and dramatic trivia battles. As the clock winds down, contestants fight to be the last one still standing, because if they’re left scrambling for the answer, they’ll literally be dropped from the game – straight through the studio floor. With more than 4,000 episodes aired globally in over 20 countries, this award-winning format is scoring above the channels’ average share in weekly and daily programming, and is available as both a format and ready-made.
