It’s one year after the events of The Good Wife, and Diane Lockhart has had enough. Watching Trump’s inauguration on TV convinces her that it’s time to get the hell out of Dodge. She puts a down payment on a house in Provence, resigns from her law firm and prepares to write her memoirs from France. But life is rarely that easy. As Diane is leaving the law, her goddaughter, Maia Rindell, is beginning her career as a first year associate at Diane’s firm.
Suddenly an enormous financial scandal caused by Maia’s parents, Lenore and Henry Rindell ,brings down liberal Chicago. Maia is the object of universal disgust and the scandal has left Diane broke. Robert and Michelle King serve as showrunners and executive producers, Phil Alden Robinson is co-creator of the series and has also co-written and executive produced the premiere episode together with the Kings. Premiere episode directed by Brooke Kennedy. Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Liz Glotzer, Brooke Kennedy and Alison Cross also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions.
