Los Angeles – Global indie studio Propagate is unveiling a new slate of factual series, documentaries and formats at MIP TV through its recently launched Global Distribution Division.

Headlining the slate is Spymasters , an original SHOWTIME documentary produced and directed by the award-winning documentarians, Jules and Gedeon Naudet and Chris Whipple . Narrated by Mandy Patinkin , the film reveals the inner workings of the CIA, the world’s most powerful intelligence organization. Spymasters offers unprecedented access to America’s spy network, including interviews with all 12 living CIA directors and top agency operatives who speak candidly about torture, secret prisons, drone warfare, alleged assassinations and the constant threat of attack.
Currently in production for Amazon is the unscripted horror anthology series, Lore,based on Aaron Mahnke’s podcast of the same name. The series is co-produced by Propagate and Gale Anne Hurd’s Valhalla Entertainment, and Propagate is selling the format. Lore combines narration, historical mixed media, and dramatic scenes to bring to life terrifying but true stories. Celebrating the origins of the horror genre, Lore explores the real-life stories behind pop culture’s most legendary horror characters and myths, such as vampires, zombies, werewolves, ghosts, serial killers and witches. Launched in March 2015 by Aaron Mahnke, Lore has over 3.2 million monthly listens and was named “Best of 2015” by iTunes and one of the “15 podcasts you need to hear in 2016” by Entertainment Weekly.
A creatively led independent, Propagate finished 2016 with 12 series in production and 10 scripts sold to development.
