Cannes / Tel Aviv – Armoza’s prime time reality competition Curvy Supermodel, which was launched last MIP, has been commissioned in Poland and Ukraine. Poland’s Polsat in partnership with Rochstar, has licensed 10 episodes of the show, while the Ukraine’s 1+1 is set to air 8 episodes later this year.
The modeling competition was recently re-commissioned in Germany for a second season on RTLII, after it successfully aired a first season last September. The format has also been licensed in Brazil by SBT and in Spain by Mediaset, while France and the Netherlands have already acquired the local rights to the show.
Produced by Tresor TV, Curvy Supermodel is set to change how we define beauty, in a nationwide casting show that searches for the face of the future – with power, style and curves. Only the best will be selected out of thousands looking to find a place in the tough and discriminative modeling industry, and will confront their issues and face challenges that will prepare them for their career. An expert jury will mentor them and choose who has what it takes to continue to the next episode. We’ll accompany them on their inspiring journeys, and while all will defy society’s stereotype, only one will win the title and the modeling contract.
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “We are delighted with this reality show that not only challenges the fashion industry, but also generates social change. It has a powerful ability to influence viewers and engage them, and we are looking forward to bringing Curvy Supermodel to life in Poland and the Ukraine.”
