Time After Time will be featured in Canal 4’s programming. The plot unravels around Lívia and Felipe, who meet each other in the 19th century. After a tragic end to their romance, 150 years later they have a second chance to live their great love tale once again. Time After Time is featured in Globo’s international licensing catalogue that was presented at NATPE 2017, among other telenovelas, series and movies.
Canal 4 is part of Telecorporación Salvadoreña, the largest media group in El Salvador that has been a partner of Globo for years, broadcasting the content of the Brazilian company across multiple channels, such as, Brazil Avenue, The Life We Lead and Now Generation.
With a cutting-edge plot split into two different periods, Time After Time features a well-tied storytelling format, an ingenious puzzle that explores and links the various facets of the characters between the first and second periods, encouraging the audience to follow not only the main story line, but also the side stories in both periods, since it is not only Lívia and Felipe who are granted a second chance in another life. Several characters that lived with them in the past also come back with a new chance to rewrite their stories. Keeping the plot’s essence in both periods required remarkable flexibility from the actors and sets, as well as radical environment and costume characterization, in order to bear the massive transformation carried out after the end of the first part. At a certain point, Time After Time becomes no longer a period novel, but a plot set in the modern times.
This strong story won over Brazilian viewers. In Brazil, Time After Time reached more than 173 million viewers (considering individuals who tuned in for at least 1 minute of the complete telenovela) (Source: Ibope). While it was aired, more than 654,000 comments were made about the telenovela on social media – more than 5,000 comments per chapter on average.
