Singapore – MediaCorp’s Customised Publishing team emerged as a big winner at the 2015 Annual Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX) competition. Its haul of one Grand Award and five Awards of Excellence is the highest tally for a Singaporean publisher, an honour that MediaCorp claims for the second year running.
MediaCorp’s Customised Publishing unit scored wins for its titles in the following categories:
- Grand Award (One-of-a-kind Publications — Green)
— PURE (Jul -Sep 2014), published for PUB, the national water agency
- Award of Excellence (Magazines, Journals & Tabloids — Çustom-Published)
— The AlumNUS (Jan-Mar 2014), published for the National University of Singapore
- Award of Excellence (One-of-a-Kind Publications)
— Beanstalk (Jan-Mar 2014), published for the Early Childhood Development Agency
- Award of Excellence (Magazines, Journals & Tabloids — Most-improved)
— Lifewise (Sep-Oct 2014), published for the National Healthcare Group
- Award of Excellence (Magazines, Journals & Tabloids — Design and Layout)
— Contact South East (Oct-Dec 2014), published for the South East Community Development Council
- Award of Excellence (Journals & Tabloids + 32 pages)
— ROAM (Mar-Aug 2014), published for WTS Travel & Tours
These wins add to the long list of awards that MediaCorp Customised Publishing has earned in recent years, and further reaffirms its reputation as a publisher of choice among clients from various sectors.

APEX is an annual competition for publishers, editors, writers and designers who create print, web, electronic and social media. An APEX award symbolises the achievement of performance excellence by communications campaigns in an industry that is constantly refining and redefining creativity. Participation in the competition is open to communicators in corporate, non-profit and independent settings.
The 2015 instalment of the Awards saw over 1,800 entries vying for 82 APEX Grand Awards to honour outstanding achievements as well as 749 APEX Awards of Excellence in 100 individual categories. The works that were eligible for judging were those that were produced or dated in 2014.
