Singapore − CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, announced the return of its thought-provoking Asia Tomorrow series for a second year. Delivered in partnership with DBS the series, which launches on 9 June, explores the mega trends shaping the future socio-economic and investment landscape of Asia.
Featured topics will include the emergence of India as a challenge to China; the growing silver economy in Singapore; the aspirations and habits of millennials; and the disruptive power of technology, making the content a must for those wishing to understand Asia’s future growth and investment landscape. It will also appeal to planners and policy makers, while engaging the online community in a surrounding conversation.
The multiplatform nature of this collaboration takes the second series to a new level. DBS Bank’s on-air sponsorship will include ‘tune-in’ sound bites on CNBC Asia-Pacific TV, while the bank will also sponsor a special Asia Tomorrow page on cnbc.com to include full series episodes and articles on the topics covered.
In a new addition to the partnership, original commentary will be drawn from the DBS Asian Insights Conference, a highly anticipated event that brings together the region’s most influential economists, financiers and politicians, to share their views on Asia’s key economic trends and outlook. At the event, taking place on July 10 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore, CNBC will host a panel on innovative disruption, with strong audience participation via online and social media. A half-hour TV special on the event will air in mid-July.
Kerry Tarrant, Vice President of Sales at CNBC Asia-Pacific said, “We are excited to be partnering with DBS Bank again on this series. DBS Bank aspires to highlight the major trends that will impact the Asia investment landscape and this forward thinking CNBC series fits very well with their agenda.”
Timothy Wong, Head of Group Research and DBS Asian Insights at DBS said, “We chose to work with CNBC as we see great synergy in our common objectives to drive thought leadership on Asia and producing quality and insightful content that will spark engaging conversations.”
