Madrid − Movistar TV and all3media International have reached a deal to incorporate the critically acclaimed British drama The Missing, to Movistar Series. The first complete series of The Missing will be available on 14 June.
This new title will strengthen Movistar Series´ portfolio. The service, who allows users to enjoy series 100% on demand, on HD and multidevice, has now available over 50 series.
The Missing premiered in 2014 and soon it became one of the most acclaimed TV dramas of the year, highlighting the quality and consistency of its writing. James Nesbitt (The Hobbit saga) and Frances O´Connor (Mr. Selfridge, A.I.) play the main characters, a British married couple whose 5 year old son disappears during a family vacation in France. The story jumps from the police investigation that took place right after the disappearance and the one that took place 8 years later when new clues made the police reopen the case. The Missing earned two Golden Globe nominations (Best Miniseries and Best Actress in a Miniseries), and it´s also a four time nominee in the upcoming BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday and a triple nominee in the Montecarlo TV Festival that will take place in June.
Movistar Series´ portfolio keeps growing, adding the best international series, exclusively and on demand. The Missing arrives in June, and the service has just premiered Penny Dreadful´s second series, and will soon add the French drama Les Revenants.
