Cannes – Gaumont TV Europe, a division of Gaumont, announced that the company plans to co-produce its second project 1001, a 12 x one-hour English language modern day thriller with a high degree of fictionalisation and cinematic imagery, including our own world, universe and mythology. 1001, created by Real Humans’ Lars Lundström, will be produced by Gaumont Television Europe and Matador Film along with its dedicated co-production partner Eyeworks Scandi Fiction.
The announcement was made by Elizabeth Dreyer, Head of International Co-Productions for Gaumont Television Europe.
In addition, it was announced that 1001 will be one of 12 projects presented to over 200 international and European television professionals at the upcoming Series Mania Festival’s European Co-production Forum set for April 22 -24 in Paris, France.
