Dynamic Duo on tour

February 11, 2015 by TVA Editor

Singapore – Later this month, leading home and lifestyle entertainment brand, HGTV, will introduce fans, and home and design enthusiasts to two of the channel’s biggest stars. Celebrity television hosts and real life twin brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, better known as the Property Brothers, will visit Manila, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore as part of an exclusive tour to celebrate the launch of HGTV in the region.

With more than 15 years of experience in making dream homes a reality for homeowners, Drew and Jonathan Scott are television’s twin titans. Their witty banter, charming personalities, and uncanny knack for uncovering real estate treasures, have helped make the Property Brothers the faces of home renovation on television since Property Brothers made its U.S debut on HGTV in 2011. Since then, the talented and charismatic duo has gone on to star in other hit programmes such as Buying and Selling and Brother vs. Brother, which will premiere on HGTV in Asia in March and April, respectively.

From 23 to 26 February, the brothers will participate in a series of road shows and exclusive dinner events. In Singapore, fans will be treated to a meet-and-greet session at Orchard Central on 25 February.

In the lead up to the tour, fans can also visit the HGTV Asia Facebook page (www.facebook.com/hgtvasia) and post questions that they have for the brothers. 15 entries will be chosen and personally answered by the brothers in vignettes that will air on HGTV. The five best questions submitted will win an exclusive HGTV goodie bag.

When asked about his expectations for the tour, Drew Scott, the real estate half of the duo, said, “I am so excited to visit Singapore! I’ve only been here for a connecting flight a couple of years ago – the skyline is so beautiful and its urban spaces are very clever, so I’m thrilled that we have a chance to explore this dynamic city! It is such an honour to be part of the HGTV launch in Asia, and I can’t wait to meet the fans in Singapore, answer all their questions about home design and get to know more about their lifestyle and culture.”

Echoing his brother’s sentiments, Jonathan Scott, an experienced contractor commented, “It feels great to be able to touch the lives of home and design enthusiasts in Singapore and to be able to inspire them through our programmes on HGTV. HGTV is the place to be if you are looking for home tips or creative ideas. We really enjoy what we do and hope that viewers will continue to tune in and be entertained by its fresh ideas and authentic stories.”

Derek Chang, Managing Director of Scripps Networks Interactive, Asia-Pacific said, “Launching HGTV in Singapore was an exciting process and the feedback that we have received so far has been very positive. StarHub has been an excellent partner in bringing the channel to life, and we look forward to working with the team to bring our brightest HGTV stars to Singapore. Drew and Jonathan are fantastic, and I am confident that they will captivate and charm their fans here. We look forward to building their profile, and growing the channel into a household name as we bring HGTV to more viewers in the region this year.”
