Brave Woman
The telenovela Brave Woman, from Globo, has been licensed to Georgia’s Palitra TV. The recently launched channel will broadcast the saga of a young woman Morena (Nanda Costa, Seize the Day), who is victim of a human trafficking ring. For years, viewers in Georgia have been watching Globo’s telenovelas, and some of the telenovelas broadcast in the country have been Brazil Avenue, Gabriela and The Illusionist, which won the 2012 Emmy Award.
Brave Woman by prizewinning author Gloria Perez (The Clone) tells the story of this spontaneously sensual and beautiful woman with strong inner strength, who receives a proposal to work in Turkey and falls victim of an international gang. The cast also includes actor Giovanna Antonelli (The Clone) as the police officer Heloisa who helps Morena in her fight for love and liberty.
In Brazil Brave Woman went on air during Globo’s primetime with an average of 38 rating points and 65% share (Source: Ibope). In South America, Brave Woman had good audience ratings in Teledoce, Uruguay, and on Channel 13, in Chile. In Portugal, the telenovela went on air in SIC where it was often leader of its time slot (Source: GFK). The telenovela has also now reached Africa.
